from : localhost/don't have my good amp in my apartment, or any decent pedals. The guitar was recorded direct to the soundcard. The pedal is an old ibanez overdrive from the 80's or something. You can still ge a general idea of how the guitar sounds.I have to say I'm not in love with it. It doesn't sound the way I think a P90 should, but there is some of that character to it. Time will tell and I'll know a lot more once I can plug it into one of the really decent amps I have at home.

clean sounds pretty nice....would be way better through a real amp.......Phat Cat is my favorite pickup i've tried by far

distortion sound ok...Phat Cat sounds better with a smoother overdrive type of sound

I like the Pat cats. I put a set on my deacon 12 string.

Yeah. I ~need~ to play this guitar through a decent amp.

Nice try at Celebrated Summer, but he intro is close, but off a tad: Bob's strumming chords rather than single notes. Something like this:

Personally, I don't think the clip I posed sounds close at all.... the intro is single notes, I'm using power chords where he isn't, I'm incorporating the bass line into the rhythm part in places, I'm playing the wrong chords in certain spots as well.

The nice thing was that even with such a lousy, overpowered distortion pedal, I still have a lot of play and range with the dynamics.

An interesting thing with the cleans -- the lower strings sound relatively warm and fat while the high ones have more brightness to them. It doesn't sound to me like it's just like it is on any other guitar. Is the pickup wound differently for each individual string?
