on this guitar? I'll be swapping the neck by the end of the year and have NO clue what headstock shape I want to go with. Whatever it is, there will be a custom logo on it.
big 70s style would work. color matched. anything else wouldn't.
I'd keep the ibastock.

I may not be able to get an Ibanez stock, USACG couldn't do it reverse so I'm checking on standard, I don't expect a yes. I prefer the smaller strat head personally, and it will probably just be clear coated mahogany w/ an ebony board.
I can't put my finger on it, but there's just something sacreligious about a fender-shaped headstock on an Ibanez. Maybe something like the headstocks on Brian Moores or MM's- two on one side, four on the other.

Well... it IS a superstrat . I considered using USACG's 3x3 headstock design, but I'd like to avoid having to buy new tuners as these Sperzels are just a few months old. Also, going with a custom stock could potentially drive the price up some unfortunately.
Any photoshoppers care to take a crack at it?

yesFF...I am hearing that Warmoth is gonna start doing an Ibanez headstock soon...it's not as good as a USACG but...
a strat head will just look odd, i wouldn't do that. i'd go for more of a beak style like a suhr if you cant get an ibanez style.

Warmoth usually comes in about $100 more expensive when I price necks though . Not to mention Roxy is all set up to do in-house finishes for USA now.

That's actually an idea, there's a pic on the USA site of a Kramer beak so I'm sure they can do that one.
yeah i think that would flow with the body lines much better than a strat head.

-MikeI agree, but it got conversation started didn't it . I'll know more when I hear back from Tommy.
whatever you do, don't do a Streat head...anything would be better that that IMO.

somekind of quot;beakquot; head or a 3 on a side could look cool...I know if you go 3 on a side that means a new set oif tuners but...it might look cool.

I'll compare the cost of new tuners to that of a custom headstock when the time comes.
