Like for instance duncan has the CC as follows
bass 3
mids 7
treble 7
i hear more bass than 3 in the CC!
they also have the C5 as follows
bass 6
mids 3
treble 8
I hear it more like
bass 7
mids 4.5
treble 8
what do you hear in these?
I have to agree. I think the CC is more like 475 or 476 (BMT in that order). But then again, that's what we hear through our rigs, not their test equipment (scopes and such).

Got it and replied.
I never get pm's from anyone o well.I thought it was kinda weird I feel like no offense they made a few mistakes. Like if I can remember correctly they put the live wire metal as a medium output and that pup cant be medium on anybodys rig but it doesnt really matter. I could be wrong though but w/e. Also i agree with erik its there rigs that change and plus 3 and 4.5 arent THAT huge of a difference its not like 2 and 9, but thats just me I again could be completely retarded im new at this.
I've been wondering about that too. According to the chart the A2pro is 7/4/8 and the '59 is 6/3/8. Does the A2pro really have more bass than the '59?

Does anyone else find the new tone chart very jumbled looking and tough to read?? I kind of like the old one better almost....

yeah i agree
I think it lacks clarity! fortunately duncan pups dont! LOL!!!!
I use the magnifier feature to zero in on the chart best
The numbers are one thing but numbers with the graphs like on the old tone chart would be perfect.
Evan, if you see this, pass it on.

Hails WICKED LESTER
MY CC has those 3/4,5 of bass, 8 mids, 7/7,5 of Highs.
i love it´s highs
and like very much it´s mids.
but the ****ing bass is spongey and not tight at all
i guess i´ll have to order a custom shop CC and a custom shop hot rails.
CC with the addition of 1 on the BASS eq and more TIGHTNESS to it(bass)
and the HR LESS buzzz in the bass, more articulation in the bass. the mids and highs are ****ing perfect
Q
WICKED LESTER, WHEN DO YOU WILL POST THE ****ING ALNICO 8 CLIPS?
ahhahahahHAahAHAHahaHAHAHAhahaha

Q
what amp you got?
when i played a CC through my rig it was not all that spongey, it actually was PUNCHY and ballsy as all hell with great palm mutes!
Don't know how much tighter the bass can get on the CC with the A2 mag. If I understand it correctly, the sponginess is a characteristic of the A2. I happen to like it the way it is. I can chug along with the best of 'em through my Marshall and it has plenty of low end thump.

yeah it has just enough quot;SAGquot; to compensate for the tightness of 4 marshall 4x12 cabs going full tilt!
you simply cannot plug into a crate or a little peavey combo and say the CC has no tightness?

Exactly. Although my cab is an old Music Man 4x12, it's closed back and sound great. I use my little Crate GX-15 as more of a testing amp if anything, and practice which is what it's for anyway. But to really give a solid opinion on something, I need to run it through the big rig.

erik i have found that no matter what the ONLY real test for a pup is you playing it through the rig you own. like he wanted me to post clips?
why? it will not sound like that with his rig!WFD says the CC is too spongey, well in my rig it is definitely NOT
as a matter of fact i have not come across ANY pups that sounded bad or too loose through my ZAKK STACK
they all sound HUGE and tight enough

Well, on the other post that WFD has posted in, he said he's playing through 30 watt IBM PC speakers. No wonder it sounds spongey. Anything will sound spongey through PC speakers.
I'm jealous that you got one of those heads BTW. Have you had a chance to open it up and see if it's any different than a stock 2203? I've heard that it's not. The closest I'll get to it is what I have now, JCM900 MkIII 2100, which was actually based off the JCM800 2203.
