There is a lot of information on color codes at the Stew Mac site but evidently nothing on Ibanez:
from : localhost/you have a multimeter you might try desoldering the leads and measuring for continuity. And connect the leads to a guitar cable with alligator clips to determine which wires go to which coil (slug or screw).
Does your Ibanez use a 5 way switch like a strat, or a 3 way switch like a Les Paul? Does it use a coil tap function? What are the other pickups in this guitar?
My guess is that one lead going to the switch is the Hot wire from the pickup which would generally correspond to the BLACK wire on your SD pickup. There may be a second lead (or two) which is used for splitting the coil and this would correspond to the white and red wires on a SD pickup. The SD pickups also use a green wire normally connected to ground as well as a bare wire which is always connected to ground.
Note: when you are mixing and matching SD pickups with other brands you might have a problem with them not being in proper phase. To reverse the phase of SD pickups, connect the GREEN wire where the BLACK wire would normally go, and vice versa. If the WHITE and RED wires are soldered together, you shouldn't have to do anything with them; otherwise you may need to reverse them.
More notes: after reversing the wires you may find that some linkages are no longer humcancelling... if they were originally humcancelling but out-of-phase then you need to reverse the magnet- flip it just like a pancake!
Confusing, i'n't it?
Position 1: bridge pickup
Position 2: coil tap (inner two coils)
Position 3: both pickups
Position 4: hum cancelling, neck pickup in parallel
Postion 5: neck pickup
The schematic for the RG321HM isn't opening off of the Ibanez site but the configuration is the same on the RG320. Assuming you have the powersound pickups the codes are as follows...
sd black = ibz red
sd red/white = ibz black/white
sd green = ibz blue
Here's the schematic...
