I placed an order yesterday with MJ and she told me it would be 4 weeks before it was done. Which was cool with me because I won't have a guitar to put it in until then. Well she sent me an email today saying that its done. That was fast turn around. Now if only my credit card company would put the cash through. I would have my custom pickup with no guitar haha

I think you lucked out as far as the time of year - another month or so and they will likely be gearing up for NAMM

from what i understand mj said its a iommi/diablo hybrid. I wanted the iommi but i told her what guitar it was going in and she suggested this hybrid. its the hottest pickup i ever had thats for sure. she said its right at 21k

No wonder she got it done so quick..she probably just wrapped a coathangar around a magnet the size of anvil!

From what I have seen from MJ, she is a busy body. She doesn't like to waste any time in the custom shop, so I am not really suprised that she got it done so quick.

I recently had a similar experience ordering a set of 50th Anniversary Seths. MJ told me 4 weeks, but I received them in less than 1 week! Great service....a pleasure to deal with.

I am getting an ltd viper to put it in. we never got to go over the specs of the pickup much she sounded like she was in a hurry. as far as i know its the same as an iommi with just a little more top end on it. I hope it comes with something that tells the specs. a friend of mine is suppossed to let me try it out in his guitar is the same as the one i'm gonna buy. if not I may have to try it out in the tele haha.

That would be one brutal telecaster...anyway, sounds interesting!

el diablo- the scott ian (of anthrax and stormtroopers of death) signature pickup. its supposed to sound similar to a screamin demon, but with blades and wound way hotter

from what i understand theres an el diablo then the scott ian diablo. not sure what the difference is though.

i think its that theres 2 versions of the el diablo, one of em non-blade, which is like 14 or 16k or something, and then the 21k blade one

The El Diablo that is something like 14K is supposed to be like a souped up Demon. I am not sure at all how the Scott Ian Diablo (21K) would sound?
