Who owns em and what do you think??? I know the Czech made ones are fantastic! What about the Pacific Rim ones??
Any resemblance to a LP in tone??

They don't really feel like a Les Paul in tone or in feel. The ones that I've played have all been really nice with a better neck heel than a Les Paul and far lighter. The tone isn't quite as nice and girthy as a Les Paul, but I attribute that to the stock pickups more than anything else.

I have the discontinued Korean 7 string model (EVO Special 7)

More guitar than the money paid.

The sound is great on this thing, rings out acousticly very well ... nice and airy tone to it. Construction is top notch. Electronics have given me no problem so far (5 years or so) cavities are extremely well shielded, and the pots and soldering look great. It was an impulse buy that I don't regret (even for a factory second - finish blems).

I mean ... your getting Abalone and MOP inlays on the headstock. Mahogany neck, Mahog Body with a quilted maple top (this looks too 3d to be a thin veneer). Binding on the neck, body and headstock. Grover tuners.

Let's just say mine really blew me away.

I don't think you can compare it to a real LP. For to mention I haven't sat down with a Gibson Les Paul in 3 years
