Hey dudes, I'd like to know why when I record through the Podxt directly into the PC, why I get such clipping? Een if I don't play and just record silence I get cliupping. Why so?

could you expand on your setup a little more? Are you going from the pod to the line input on your PC?

Guitar -gt; PODxt -. USB cable -. PC -. Audacity

I'm not familiar with audacity but make sure your input gain in audacity is at a reasonable level.

Clipping when recording silence? No, that doesn't sound right. I know the podxt does add a fizz to everything though- I don't have one so I don't know if that's a constant thing but it can be notched pretty easy if you cut around 13k. If that's not it maybe check your cable? All I know is you can't get quot;clippingquot; if you aren't recording a very loud signal so it's probably something else that sounds like clipping.

I think I've read about something like this on the PodXT forum. People were talking about slower computers with this problem... I think you should visit the Line6 Forums and ask them

The pod xt is probably one of the best modeling amps out on the market today (probably the best imop)I would say its either your processing speed or input gain, i kno that i get clipping when its too high...

not fimiliar with audacity--im a sonar man

Ok then how do I change the level of the input gain?

I would recommend going to an audacity forum as you would probably find a better answer. Very few if any users here use audacity.
