I've got this invader in this Ibanez 7 string bridge and i'm not sure what to do with the black and green wires.
I think the invader black goes where the stock red was on the switch and the green goes where the stock white was on the switch.
The guitar has two humbuckers and a 5 way switch. The Ibanez diagram says series parallel. Position 1 series(neck), position 2 parallel(neck), position 3 both pups, position 4 inner coils of each, and 5 is bridge.
The stock bridge pup had only 2 wires, red and white. Each connected to the switch at different spots.
The stock neck pup has 4 wires, red black and green to the switch and white to ground.
So I put the invader red and white together and taped.
The bare to ground. I think the black goes to the switch where the stock red was, and the green goes to the switch where the stock white was.
I'm not sure.
Or does the red and white go together to the switch and green to ground?
I really wanna crank this ***** up! But I really dont wanna blow the ***** up either. IF ANYONE HAS A CLUE SEND ONE MY WAY. THANX!
if the old pup only had two wires, they must be hot and ground which correspond to the black and green wires, but if the pos 4 is inside coils, the red/white connection needs to go to the switch.
was there a bare ground wire as well as the red and white on the old bridge pup?
