My friend has a Boss GT-6 and he's currently running it only into a lil' Peavey Rage 158. It's sound very unspectacular as you could imagine.
He needs to upgrade to a pre-ampgt;power ampgt;cabinet setup if he has any hope of getting a good sound from the GT-6. I've done some recordings with a musician at my audio course who used a GT-6 into a tube Peavey head with a JCM 900 Cabinet and it sounded great.
Anyone had any experiece with these?

Considering it's REALLY hard to find any guitar power amp this cheap in Australia I thought this might be worth finding out what these things are like.
Interestingly enough, the power amp doesn't have a master volume and it's output is controlled via the pre-amp volume. Although it doesn't make it a tube power amp, it also contains some pre-amp type tubes also.
i see KTG stands for King Tone Generator. heheh
if it meets his needs, then why not get it. it's solid state, but im sure it is passable, being from seymour. good luck~!!!!
