Hey everyone this is my first post here.

I want to buy a Flying V, piece by piece, (custom).

The sound I'm going for is a bright but full sound ... I'm a Strat guy but even I have to admit that Strats can get a bit thin at times so I'd like a full-er sound on occasion, besides Vs are just so cool anyway.

My questions are:
Will a maple fretboard sound ok on a V (Korina) body?

Also what neck material would you guys recommend? I'm thinkin' Korina, bit what about maple ... or would that sound too bright?

How will a 25 1/2 inch scale neck sound different from a 24 /3/4 inch neck? Slightly brighter or a signficant difference?

Also, what about pups? I'm kinda torn between the Seth and APS II. I have APS IIs on my Strat and I love it!Thanks for any help or suggestions.

I think Korina would be a great shoice. Korina body, Korina neck, ebony fretboard and 25.5 scale will be a great hybrid that will be warmer than your strat, but still very snappy, acousticly resonant, and clear. And it will look great too.
