Ladies amp; Gentlemen,
I am new to this forum and thought I would weigh in on something which effects me personally.
I bought a '63 R.I. Fender Strat, Made in Japan. I relpaced the pups w/ Harmonic Designs (B-M-N:S90/Vintage Plus/Vintage Plus), and the guitar sounds phenomenal!
I was just wondering if anyone could lend insight on whether this is an anomoly, or if the Japanese made Fenders truly sound as good as I suspect. Anyway, i'm happy with it, and that's the main thing, but I would love your feedback. Thank you!
Best,
MGG
Welcome to the Forum!
I have two recently-made CIJ Fenders (62 Strat and 62 Tele) and both are tremendous guitars.
I have a Tokai Tele that's pretty nice, too!
The MIJ Fenders are pretty sweet guitars, IMO.
All the MIJ and CIJ Fenders all very well built and great playing guitars!
MIJ Fenders are the business. After being a humbucking gal for a long time I ventured into the world of the single coils and chose to do it with an inexpensive 80's MIJ Squier. The thing is awesome consideing it cost less than one of those rubbish chipboard things that they are churning out now. The only thing I need to change is the pups - to SD's of course!
