The O-Burn
Another original I was trying to make it sound like videogame music, and it sounds considerably less quirky than my other songs.
Guess the gear! You may or may not be surprised
Very nice.. thick and melodic.. sounds pro dude!
Thanks, STEVO~!!! At least there's one person listening, haha...
Do you have any guesses as to the gear I used? I sort of used it as a joke at first, then it sounded good, so it's my main recording weapon now!
Yo Biu..wasup?
I loved the intro..that was classic! Then, the cool shufflin drums came in and the very cool melody. The wah part is VERY satchy
1:54..wow great theme!
Nice dude!
I really dig your stuff man, great as usual.
now tell us what gear you used!
A little to something or other for me, but great playing none the less.
Guitar: Schecter C-1 Platinum Stealth (#26)----gt;Duncan Distortion bridge/'59 neck
Uhh...everything else: Boss ME-50!
Yup, that's right, people. I used a fuggin' Boss ME-50 direct! It's not even an amp modeler, just a really big pedal! I love it Needless to say, I was horribly shocked that it sounded good direct, so it's my main machine now.
Post another pic of that Schecter if you would, that's a cool guitar. You have a lot of talent. If you are really interested in doing music for the gaming industry, I have some contacts. I don't know how soon you were interested in getting into a career, after high school, after college, or what not, but let me know.
Thanks, Xeromus! I want to get into a career like that after college, where I plan to minor in music. I just really want to be able to do music for a living, without making it my main priority. Gawd knows, it's difficult to make money solely as a musician these days!

Def, and I wouldn't recommend trying to make money as a musician. That's why right now I'm dual majoring in Music and Audio Recording. I'll graduate with two degrees, then I'm off to get my Bachelor's in either IT or Audio Recording.
nice composition and some happenin' tones too ... nice chops too, diggin' the wah-action trades with the harmonized bits too ... a bit too much 'verb on some of the parts for my taste .. . very talented friend .. i like your priorities, but don't sell youself short
cheers

MAN ....MAKES ME WISH MY ELECTRIC WAS WORKING SO I COULD
RECORD AGAIN....SOON ENOUGH.
KEEP IT COMING BIU...I EXPECT YOU WILL GO FAR. CHRIS
very impressive!! I some times skip over clips by the younger guys, nothing personal just that sometimes they are out of sync with music I listen to but this was just well done. Hats off to you
Thank you much, guys! It's great to see older guys listening to my stuff too, I didn't really expect to get much feedback from you older dudes because of my age (like Al said). This is the only place I post my music, and aside from a couple friends of mine, nobody else hears it, so I am grateful for all the wonderful feedback!!!
BIU your respect for various forms of music is probably what makes you so creative, along with your drive and obvious natural talent. You are a very good musician bro. You strive to be an individual, against the typical, limited insight that most of us have. I am totally impressed with the pieces that you put together
Whether older or younger, you lose your ideals and ideas when you close your mind. You are a great listener, and that is making you a great player and composer. Keep it up bro. You have some serious music in your fingers and in your head

Word! How you can somehow tastefully blend 80s style shred metal with indirect quotes from megaman tunes is absolutely beyond me! Please record an album.
Wow, Stevo, thanks! It's true that I listen to whatever sounds good to me, as opposed to what I quot;should bequot; listening to. People raise their eyebrows at my strange compilation CDs that I listen to while driving, but I don't mind it. I will definitely keep on makin' the music; you've been a pretty big idol to me, Stevo. Remember waaaaaaaaay back (about 3 years ago) when I first joined this forum and I heard your song quot;Kahuna Locoquot;? That's what sort of initiated my interest in recording myself!!! I was floored by that song, man, and it made me have a hunger for achieving that kind of sonic quot;feel goodquot; on my own! Big thanks to you, sir!
Blue Calx...dude, you are awesome. You share that same love for geezer NES games! That is a kind of love that seems to be getting lost in all these new 3D, quot;more real than life itselfquot; videogames. What happened to incredible RANDOMNESS and simple excitement in videogames?!
I'll try to put something out as the number songs I record build up a little more.
hey Biu, you ever listen to the quot;brink of timequot; album?

Hmm, I am not familiar with that. What is it?
