I want to take my wolfgang body and fill in the neck pickup hole and then have two singles routed out. I would just order a warmoth body but moneys tight right now. so if its possible. does anyone know where i should start thx Richard

So what, You all know everything about everything. But no one knows anything about this?

What do you mean by fill up the neck pickup? Like no hole there or what? and are you talking about doing body work to get singles installed. I'm know nothing about wiring, but is that what your talking about?

i want to take a guitar that is hum-hum and make it sing-sing-hum. i just dont know where to start.

If you've got a decent guitar, and you pretty well like it, don't rout it. I guess if you know what you're doing- cool, but just the fact that you're asking about it here leads me to believe you'd end up with a basket case, AND it would be next to impossible to sell to get anything back on it. After a several years of fighting with guitars and basses- it really is easier and cheaper to get what you want rather than to get something and attempt to turn it into what you want.

And I do know everything about everything. Just last night Professor Griff from Public Enemy told me the most amazing story about jewelry.

It's a really bad idea.

Plus if you got a warmoth wolfgang body your current wolfgang neck wouldn't fit it, only strat necks.

Just wait to get another guitar or a cheapy to put singles in. It'll cost you less than what you're about to do and a lot less ugly too.

But it's conceivable, and whatever's concievable is possible, so it can be done. But it's a disaster waiting to happen if not done right. The guitar would need to be refinished too.

Sure if you want to ruin the guitars value in the future and sell it for next to nothing.

Umm, not a good idea. What's your time worth? I guarantee that taking on something like this would cost more than buying a body routed for S-S-H. That is if you put a high dollar on your time.

1. Im not worried about the value of the guitar. If I get it the way I want it ill never sell it.
2. The neck pickup cavity and the pickup selector has already been filled. The body has already been striped, sanded and ready to shot with a new paint job.
3. This is an extra body and my wolfie will not come apart untill the new body is ready. So im not worried about how long it takes.

I was just asking for some tips. Thx, Richard

What did you fill it with, wood putty? Whatever, if it's solid enough, you just rout the new holes in it. Stew Mac sells templates for this.

If you are not worried about the resale value, I'd say go for it! I guess the besat way to fill that neck route would be this way (5 pics down), then you can do what ever you want. Good luck!

theodie could do that for you...
