When playing guitar/bass what do you sit on?

I walked into a second hand store, and spotted the most comfortable chair a guitarist could own........a 70's style barstool that has a back, no arms, swivels, and it has a footrest ring all the way around it. I bought it for $25 and I love it.

Here's a picture of one just like it. a black folding chair when i sit while playing electric, and my bed for acoustic...

I have a couple of cheesy, cheap $40-each swivel office chairs with wheels that the backs broke off of years ago, but the bottoms keep on rollin'. I get lazy with those things, rolling into the kitchen for water, to the table to make a pickup adjustment with a screw driver, etc.

My ass.

I use a Fender stool that my fiancee bought for me last Christmas -- even when I'm playing my Gibsons.

I stand, unless recording. Then I'm either sitting in a normal wooden chair or standing, or propped with one knee up.

whatever i can find. i dont carry a chair around just to sit on. as long as its a chair and doesnt have armrests, im fine.

Has anyone seen those folding metal foot rests? I think they're made for classical guitarists, but someone bought me one a long time ago. What a POS. The thing broke the second time I used it.

Just kidding...really...

On old step stool ....the kind that you can flip the steps out of the bottom. It has a back, 2 steps, chrome legs and is the ugliest thing you ever saw. It's the most comfortable chair for playing I have yet used.
