I've been lurking here for a couple months, and finally decided to jump in--I have a '91 Predator that I took apart to shield while I had the strings off. I found it already wired with shielded cable and the middle pickup was connected the opposite of the other two. Checked the magnets and the middle pup is opposite that way also--but 2amp;4 pos. still hums--so does anyone know if it's supposed to be RWRP stock, or maybe the previous owner was tinkering? I've done some searches and haven't been able to find a wiring diagram for that exact guitar, so any help would be appreciated.

does it hum as bad as on the 1,3,5 spots? if so then i unno.. but if it hums LESS than its just your amp

Is yours a USA or import? I don't remember when they switched. The MIA predators I believe were RWRP, but it's been a while since I swapped out the old pups on mine. Did you make sure all the connections were good? That might be the culprit.

Maybe Artie remembers for sure about the RWRP.

It's USA, but I've never had one apart before, so that's why I asked. The shielded wire is the cheap kind that melts if you get a soldering iron anywhere near it, so I wanted to get more info before I tried changing anything. I want to upgrade the pups later, but wanted to try the shielding while I had it apart.
