Kramer 1984
Do you recommend this or any Kramer?

For a single HB super strat...what would you recommend for under M (1k) bones?

i've heard good things about them but they are NEVER in stock! if they ever had a white or red one in i'd buy it but noooooo, they never do. although they do have the graphic painted ones in stock and the black and red bullseye would be cool to have with my white and red bullseye charvel lol.

but yeah for the money i hear they are pretty damn good guitars.

I like the black one. I'm not into the red or white. I wish there were a few more color options....I kinda want blue...midnight or cobalt would be cool. A tobacco burst would be nice too.

When i was a little **** just starting High School i saw an ad in a circus mag around 1984 or 85... Eddie's No Bozo shirt and holding a White Kramer with a Rosewood Board and Black hardware... That is the guitar i want! The closest i have seen is the Kramer 1984's.... I've thought about getting one but by the time i pay the exchange rate to American money and the Duty tax to Canada.... There is much better guitars i can find here for less money.. Still i want a Kramer like that one i saw Ed holding in that early promo ad.. I want to make my own Kramer style body and try making one but i do not have the outline of that body shape..... it's different then a Fender strat shape... I would buy a Cheap used 80's Kramer to get that shape if i could but i never see any around....

the kramer that ed was holding in that ad was a kramer baretta. the 1984 model is a recreation of the kramer 5150 that he played from 1984-1989....the body shapes are slightly different between the 1984 and the baretta...

p.s. i used to stare at that quot;no bozosquot; ad for hours when i was a kid...ED IS GOD

ya, that's a good looking Axe that's for sure...I'll bet it's ready to kick out Panama!

Anyone ever notice that the Floyd saddles are not intonated on that guitar ED is holding.... The G string saddle is way forward

the ironic thing is that ed never used the barettas...

there was talk of kramer, back in 1986, releasing an EVH kramer, all striped up like ed's...but ed wanted them to be reliced like his was and kramer pulled the plug because they thought noone would want to buy a new quot;oldquot; guitar...ha!...TELL THAT TO THE FENDER CUSTOM SHOP...

I considered that...Warmoth? Or make it a real franken...strat/kramer. assemble it from the parts of other guitars?

Either way. But I wouldn't pay over $300 for that thing.
