Please bear with me, because I'm neither a native english speaker nor an experienced guitar player

I went to the from : localhost//SDToneWizard/strat.shtml page and loved the sound of sample 55 (Vintage Rails), which is described there as quot;Clean, Bridge, Bridge/Midquot;. I would like to have that tone, but my guitar is a H-S-S model, so I can't install that particular pickup in the bridge position. So I would like to know exactly what quot;Bridge/Midquot; means. Does that mean that I can expect to get that same tone from that same p/up, whether it's in the bridge OR in the middle position? Or does it mean that that sound is achieved only by using it in the bridge or two of them in BOTH the bridge AND the middle positions at the same time?

Or, to put it way more simply: will I get sample 55's tone if I install a Vintage Rails p/up in the middle position of an otherwise (at least theoretically) identical guitar as the one used to record that sample? Thanks in advance for any help!

IIRC, the clips that say quot;bridge, bridge/midquot; have two short clips contined in one,. First you hear the bridge pickup by itself. Then you hear the bridge pickup and the middle pickup (as in a Strat, pos. 4...if you count them the way I do).

For awhile, I had 3 Cool Rails in a Strat. It was, and still is, one of my favorite pup combo's. All three maintain the fundamental character of the CR, but with the obvious differences related to the quot;bitequot; of the strings they get. I highly recommend them.

The only reason they're out now, is I'm still trying new pup combo's, and budget restraints dictate that I swap and trade for new stuff.
