Well, after a lot of prying, I got some pics of the body and neck I'm having cut for my next guitar assembly. It's an Ibanez JS-style axe, body and neck both made of black limba, w/ an ebony fretboard. These shots look to be before the finish was applied and the neck was fretted, so they're pretty old (as I've been told I should expect the completed parts to arrive this week).
Definitely got my GAS spurred to get this thing assembled!Very nice! I can't wait to see the finished product.

Gorgeous! Can't wait for that thing to come in, we need pics before you even start assembling!

I'll have a few things to do before I can really start assembly, like drilling all the holes, some fretwork (bevel and dress the ends), etc.
Great grain on that body! Looking hot!

Thanks guys. Keep your fingers crossed that I get the parts this week .
No reverse headstock?! How could you?!
Can't wait to see the finished product!
What pups/bridge are you gonna go with?

What pups/bridge are you gonna go with? Not sure on the pickups yet, I've got a few here to try out. I know I'm wanting a more modern sounding set of moderate output Alnico 5 based pickups, now I just have to experiment. My other two guitars have more traditional sounding A2 units.
Right now I have a JB and Dimarzio Fred to try in the bridge, and a Dimarzio PAF Pro and Air Norton for the neck. I just received what I'm thinking will be the setup I go with today in the mail, Bill Lawrence L-500R for the bridge and L-500C for the neck.
The bridge will be a Hipshot Hardtail, in the same color as all the rest of the hardware... black.
Here are the Lawrences I got in today, I'm thinking zebra might look pretty snazzy in that body...
Might I ask who you have making that guitar?

This is the kind of stuff that has me frustrated.
Last Wednesday, June 29, he emailed me saying quot;...ive got to get some pics for you this week....you should have it next weekquot;. Once the pics pop up on his site (yesterday), I email him thanking him for uploading them, and to say I'm looking forward to getting started this week, etc. I got a reply this morning saying quot;i'll probably get them this week, you'll probably have it next week...i'm going by the painter today or tomorrow to talk to himquot;.
