lol, no it's not mildew, i think it started life as a trans green top that sat in a music store window a bit too long and faded into this...which odly enough i think i like lol. either it faded or there is a guy with some strange taste working the paint booth at gibson. anyway, thought you guys may get a kick out of this...

It'd look better if it was a little more uniform, maybe you can set it in a window with the rest faceing out?
I love that.
I should really try to be less predictable.
slade
That's kind of cool, though I'd agree that it should be a bit more symmetrical.
guys i think it seriously was sun faded and not sprayed that way thus why it's not symetrical. from what i heard the dealer has had it for quite some time which makes sence for fading or the fact that it's like the pug (dog) of guitars...so ugly it's cool lol.

That's the new $14,000 Historic Lighthouse Mildew Relic, which was reliced to look like it had sat in a lighthouse closet since 1959. LOL
It was modeled after one that was leaning against damp raincoats for years!
After Pedro the new Gibson finishing trainee had officially F'ed up his first guitar, the accountants walked in and said quot;Ah, a Lighthouse Relic!!!quot; hahahaha
It really doesn't look too bad actually.
I'll be the third (maybe 4th) guy to say how cool it would look if it was a bit more even.
That's disgusting!
That's awesome! I want one
That looks alot more like it was a tiger eye finish that got faded. I honestly think it looks pretty cool
anyone want to tell me why i want to buy this guitar lol. very strange, i'm sick of les pauls in general but this thing has me tempted to take a ride over to the shop (local) and check it out. odd. i think i'll stick with my super strats but it is oddly tempting. hmmmm

I want one... I finished my speaker cab with the same transparent green effect... it would be perfect!

I'm a lover of super-strats myself, but if it's a local shop, I say it's worth it to go give it a try.
Rock On!
If it was all yellow like the Joe Perry Boneyard LP it would be badass...I'd like to see someone put some sort of tasty graphic into the finish by cutting some cloth and taping that onto the green portion and letting the rest get yellow. You could have some seriously cool effects that way IMO.
I personally wouldn't buy it, BUT I would make a mention of how cool it is if I saw someone else playing it.
Time to get the sand paper out and get something to seal raw wood with...
Thats piss awful.
Hmm... Id like it better with chrome or black pickups, but I think it's really cool, even though it's uneven. It reminds me of the mutli-color Fruit Roll-Ups (fruit snacks I used to eat) haha.
I love it and I want it!
Kinda looks like their gecko finish gone haywire. quot;Franken-geckoquot;, maybe?
looks like puke! i hate it!
