All of this talk about p90's has gotten the best of me. Spent last night researching all of my options and went to town today to play a couple of the top picks. I narrowed it down to the Fender TC90 and the PRS Soapbar I and II.
PRS Soapbar I $469(Single cut)Cherry Red, it's new but it's the floor model. I couldn't find anything wrong with it at all. Super resonant acousticly and very confortable, smooth, thin but wide neck, rolled edges. Very nice fit and finish. Pickups were good, but I will most likely change them.
Soapbar II$499(Double cut) I can get exactly what I want, finish wise, here. Leaning toward the Tobacco burst finish, but I would be happy with the red or white.
Fender TC90 $599-Black Cherry Burst, Also new but the floor model. Couldn't find anything wrong with it. Neck played like butter, pots were scratchy, very nice finish, just ok acousticly. SD Custom in the bridge and Vintage in the neck. I could have stayed there all day long playing that Vintage neck all day long.
Pickups aside, I am leaning toward the PRS for price and overall feel. Any thoughts on the possible difference in resonance between the double cut and the single?
