i've heard this when people are describing used Hamers on ebay and i have no idea what they are talking about. Are hamer guitars likely to chip in a certain spot or something.
One of two things, as far as I know. It's either a white discoloration around the neck joint caused by glue leaking into the finish, or a degradation of clearcoat around the edges of the fretboard.
yeah...it's a problem with the finish around the fretboard up near the nut on early 90's Hamers...doesn't affect playability...seems to be purely cosmetic and they fixed it altogether in the mid 90's.
It's that REALLY irritating sensation you get when polls keep getting bumped up to the top because someone voted on them, BUT THERE'S NO NEW MATERIAL TO READ!!
It is also the irritating sensation when people identify an entire company to one individual just because they have the name of that particular company in their Username. Oh well, I was the first to do it. LOL.
