anyone who has used the deluxe ec-1000, what did you think about it? it looks like they put in a lot of great extras like the tonepros bridge and earvana nut and i might look into them more (te one with duncans, not emgs)

It's a killer guitar, especially considering the price. I like all three finishes, but the black/gold one is super classy.

how much are we talking about?

I own one. Kills all the gibsons I've ever owned. All the hardware and build quality is top notch. Fretwork is great too and the neck is one of the most comfortable I've ever played. This is the only guitar I've been able to stick with over the past few years, I usually buy something, use it for a couple of months, and then sell it and get something different again.

ive got one and love it. great playability. comfortable. great great great sound. i can get anything from smooth jazzy sounds to allman brothers tone to nice blues to rock to hard rock to metal (see my sig for the one i have). beautiful guitar as well. very durable as well. in fact, 2 days ago i dropped it (strap malfunction) on its headstock, and all that happened was it went out of tune. i was really relieved.

The EC series are not ESP, they are LTD guitars.
If you like the EC 1000, definitely check out an ESP Eclipse. Better wood, parts, and build quality.

esp is japanese made and ltd is korean made, same company

ESPs are made in Japan, LTDs are made in Korea. The electronics are basically the same, but the finishing details, especially on the fingerboard and frets, are very different.
Comparing my ESPs to any LTDs I've played, the necks seem very rough and slower. I find myself fighting 3x as hard to play an LTD neck over an ESP.

sorry, i was actually looking into them for the future. i dont have the money right now, cause im in the middle of getting a strat completed at the moment.

also, a much higher price tagon the esp's. i got my ec-1000 with a case from a store for a whopping $600.

also, i find the neck on mine fairely fast. however, twilight plays much faster than I!
