Has anyone here ordered any gear from these guys? If you have any experience with music123.com, good or bad, please share...

I've ordered lots of stuff from them over the past few years, literally about 15 gutiars and countless other items. I've never had a problem and with their price match link on the product pages have gotten some great prices. Recently they moved their wharehouse so some people complained about stuff taking too long, I bought some stuff during the past couple weks and it came quick coast to coast. I think their move is over with now anyway. I would recommend them for sure.

I just had to cancel an order for 1 in stock speaker. Ordered it 14 July and as of last friday, it had not shipped yet! Very frustrating and I will never order from them again. I understand the warehouse move and if would delay something for a few days, even a week, but not 6 weeks. Hire more people or something!! And, they took 6 days to refund my $.

They've had some issues recently because they moved their wherehouse, but other than that I've never had problems with them.

I've ordered from 'em a few times. IMO they're just another big box online retailer. Not particularly better or worse than most.

I think they are part of the big three....

Advantages and disadvantages...

MF has a nice credit card, 12 months no interest thing if you are into buying now, paying later. I think M123 does as well.

AMS has a nifty option where they will split your payment up into 3 or 5 payments on your credit card and there is pretty much no approval, just uses your current credit card.

I agree with Alec in that they are all very similar. Sometimes MF gets an exclusive item that others don't get. Out of the 3, I think I prefer AMS over the others.

Don't forget ZZounds. I buy from them quite a bit.

I've been quite interested in them as they're willing to ship overseas. MF doesn't. So far I haven't, as there naturally is a big risk involved. Does anybody have any experience about ordering from music123.com to Europe?

They're all pretty much the same, but yeah Alec, I've had good dealings with ZZounds....

But usually, I check Sweetwater......they're pretty good too!!!

ZZounds is the ****. I've bought so many items from them and they've arrived flawlessly within 3 days of me ordering it (sometimes two ). Their refund policy is very fair and they are very organized for such a large dealer.

I'd honestly order an item from there before AMS, M123, Sam Ash or the like.

Honestly though, I don't think you can fault music123 for their recent problems. They had a big thing on the front page of their site telling about moving their wherehouse and the resulting slow shipping. They also offered free shipping on just about everything, regardless of price, while they were doing it.

i'm having a bit of a hardtime with them at the moment with a guitar i am trying to exchange.

Mn, no offense but 6 weeks for 1 in stock speaker?? And it hadn't shipped yet? Sorry, but I do fault them. They should have been at least a little better prepared IMO.

I'm not saying it's right, I'm just saying their track record of many years should count for something against a month or two of bad service.

Yeah, maybe you are right. Just that I got caught up in it the first time I ordered from them!! I just wonder how long it will be before they get things straightened out?? Looks like the dude above got his speaker in Canada in a few days....hmmmm.

They took the notice on there website down so things *should* be smoothed out now. I really liked how they sent me a dozen pics and 3 sets of strings in a 15quot;x15quot;x6quot; box though.

I have not delt with music123 but my buddy likes them. I personally like AMS the best but, I will NEVER buy from musicians friend again! They always take your order, charge you for it, and fail to tell you its back ordered! You call them a week later becasue you expected to recive it already and they tell you, quot;ahhh....it will be 2 more monthsquot;. I would always cancel my order with the at that point! They day I stopped dealing with them, the same thing happened. I asked to cancel my order and the guy on the other end of the phone said, quot;why do you want to do thatquot; in a really crappy tone twords me! That was it for me!!!

The reason I asked, is that I've been gas'n for a Martin D-16RGT, and decided to pull the trigger on a new one from music123. I've never dealt with them perviously, and was a bit concerned with getting screwed over if I wanted to return the guitar (i.e. damage/defect). Hopefully it will arrive just fine.

I bought 4 pedals off of them about a month ago.

It shipped fine, but they only sent one. They said they send all 4.

So they ship the other 3, but only 2 arrive.

Long story short, it took them 3 shipments to get me my 4 pedals.
I understand they are currently changing warehouses but the way they went about was horrible. Big shout out to Stratdeluxer for helping me with a few fone calls, as they were being sent to him for modding.
