Please attend,I just got off the phone with Cris Mirabella,he and other luthiers have been busting their ba*ls getting stuff ready.
I've had the extreme pleasure of speaking to him a few times,(it's not often you get to speak to your heros),the guy is so real and so passionette about what he does that it's a humbling experience.
Check out this link:
archtop on the title page is one that Cris built, the elements and originality as well as the ties and nods to the familiar are so well integrated that you can clearly see this man is a true master.IMO-he belongs in the archtop pantheon with D'Angellica,D'aquisto,Benedetto,Stromberg,Manzer and Montelone.
The lines and fade accent the wood grian so smoothly that it is such a focus of the top it is understated.
The headstock, pickgaurd and inlay shapes are perfectly matched to the overall design, familiar but new,(not an easy trick),so much thought and care.
Please please please, attend the show and give this master and the others who have put so much effort into this show the time and platform that their work and efforts deserve.
Thank-you for taking the time to read this thread

John...i didn't know you spoke to Cris...he is my friend and luthier and just an all around amazing and friendly guy. i can't count the times he saved my ass and did a quick setup before a rehersal for me when a guitar was giving me a problem. plus, the inlay work he did on my twistedcaster is just amazing! i'll be at the show for sure along wih bludave and wattage.

I have tentative plans to attend ... really depends on how crazy my sched is this weekend, tho.
Cris is indeed a great guy. Very down to earth and knowledgeable. He graciously hosted last years LI Forum jam at his shop. I've had a few people do work on my guitars in the past, but after finding him, I'm looking no further.
As for the show, I'd love to get there, but will be booked solid this weekend
