I just bought a used Boss Turbo Distortion DS2..... Anyone use one of these? Are they just a DS1 with an extra boost of gain? I have yet to plug it in... I just saw it at the store for $39 Canadian and thought it would be cool to add to the collection of Boss stuff i have. I wonder what it is like set up with the Remote switch?

i believe its basically a ds-1 with an added feature. I went for the ds-1 and i really liek it. Although it has a few disadvanatges. One being the volume, second being the fact that it onyl soudns good when played througha clean channel. IM sure the ds2 is very similiar, minus the extra feature.

I use them thru my clean amps like my 65 Deluxe and my Peavey Classic 30's clean channel... If the Turbo DS2 is any good it will be going on my pedalboard.... I like the idea of using the extra foot switch to turn the turbo on/off!

I tried this pedal today.... sounds just like a DS1 but with an added Mid Boost they call Turbo...

hows the mid boost sound compared to a regular ds1?

It just super boost the mids so you can cut through easily.

Ya it is just a big mid boost.. Just imagine a DS1 but then add an EQ with the mids up.... Kind of neat as it would work as a neat little solo boost...
