I'm really a Humbucker person, all around, but I have a H-S-S Ibanez S-Series guitar. I was going to upgrade the single coils when I replaced the Humbucker.

In the Duncan camp, I'm eyeing a JB Jr... anything else to consider?

In the Dimarzio camp, I'm eyeing a HS-3 or Fast Track II.

What do you guys think? I'm mostly rock-metal.. new and 80s.

Try looking at the Hot and Cool Rails. I love those things and they work great for rock and metal.

Any of the single sized buckers should be good... JB jr, Lil '59, Lil Screamin Demon, or the Hot/Cool/Vintage Rails.
