hey guys, ive looked all these pickups to replace my Burstbucker Vs with a antiquity in the neck and a seth lover in the bridge... i was wondering if you guys would know if they sound good/compliment each other.
also, i know the resistance on a pickup isnt the entire factor that makes a pickup hot or not, so with that being said, would my antiquity neck out power the seth lover bridge? the resistance would vary on a antiquity neck but would still be at the same if not more output resistance than a seth lover. i would certainly like an oomphff when i switch into the bridge position, seeing i control most of my sound thru my guitar instead using signal boost pedals, etc.
Well, if I'm not mistaken the Antiquity is simply a Seth Lover that has gone through the quot;agingquot; process. I have no doubt they will match up very nicely, but I would personally consider getting a pair of one or the other. That way, they match cosmetically. Either way you go, I think that you have decided on a very good pickup upgrade.
They should work well togeather. I think an antiquity is more a less a seth with aged parts. That includes an aged magnet that isnt as strong, hence a little lower output. So in the neck, the antiquity should work well with the seth.
