anyone played one of these yet? I played one today amp; was really impressed by it, great tone out of the box, for under $600

i tried one at the local schecter dealer. its alot of guitar for the money especially with the duncans and tonepros. almost lp-ish tone with better ergonomics and playability. the blackjack tempest simply screams metal!

i actually thought it was more of a rock amp; roll/hard rock guitar

but...VERSATILITY PROVEN! HUZZAH!

then again i think the tele hot rail sounds billy gibbons ish, so what do i know

Sounds great played thorugh a 5150 with scooped mids!!!!

I like the Tempest Blackjack a lot, but the Custom is just so much more beautiful Too bad you can't see the dots on Blackjacks worth crap.

the older tempest i owned was the most headstock heavy guitar i have ever owned. I don't know if they changed it much with the blackjack series or not, but i would play 1 before i bought it.

Cool guitar amp; great deal. I bought one but ended sending it back cause I don't feel confortable with 24.75quot; scale. I was suprised how thick the body is, almost like a Les. Construction was very good, and comes with Duncans (real ones), TonePros bridge amp; Grover tuners for less than $600. Looks sharp too.

I am considering getting a C-1 Blackjack.

As far as how thick the Tempest is, that thing's HUGE, it's way thicker than an LP.

that's not necessarily a bad thing though

and once again theodie, i do like mids, just not on that amp
