for anyone whose ordered their body painted by warmoth, about how long did it take from when you placed your order till you received it?
Are you talking about ordering from scratch, or ordering a body from the showcase that's already finished? If they're starting from scratch, you're probably looking at 4-6 weeks, give or take a week. If it's in the showcase and already finished, it usually takes them a week or so to do any of the extra routing you've requested, then they ship it out. So in that case, it usually takes 10-14 days, depending on how close you live to Washington.

I can give you my recent experience. I ordered a painted body and neck about close to 8 weeks ago. The body is currently in an UPS warehouse in Redmond WA. Been there for 2 days now. That's not Warmoth's fault just the nature of regular UPS ground shipping. Now I would imagine that the complexity is also a factor. The body I ordered was a hollow carved top LPS in a sunburst finish. The body wood is mahagony and the top is spruce. Also has natuaral binding and other items.
The neck is another story all together as from my discussion with Warmoth yesteday it will be another 3-4 weeks or closer to 12 weeks on the neck. This came about because after ordering a 24 2/4 conversion neck in a 3/4 nut width, I was told about 3 weeks later (when the order went to the CNC machine) that Warmoth didn't make those. So I opted for the 25 1/2. Not sure why but it appears that my order was put back at the end of the line. There wasn't to much out of the ordiinary on the neck except for a standard 12quot; radiius versus the Warmoth compound radius. rob
******. so for a painted body from scratch, plus your neck, itll be about 2 months? i hadnt thought of this till now. cause i wont have the money for what i wanna do till the end of the summer, and im hoping to get this thing started and finished before i have to go back to school after summer break, and still get a hell of a lotta playing time in. so really, i should be ordering within the next month......this sucks. plus i wanna get a pickguard made by sharp-concepts. so thatll take even longer. i might as well just put this off even more, cause by the looks of it theres no way in hell ill get what i want in the timeframe i need.
If you order them at the same time, you should be okay. That was just my experience with them, I'm sure delivery times vary quite a bit. If you need it in a hurry, check out the showcase. Unless you want something really off the wall, you can probably find something in there you like. Often times, it's much cheaper that way too. I got my Warmoth Strat body for $235, which included the finish. Getting the same thing made from scratch and finished the same way would've cost nearly $400.

I ordered a neck from them on January 3rd, and I'm still waiting. I'm not really suprised though, as I ordered a Wenge/Ebony neck with white binding.
EX250, Actually by the time I get my neck it will be closer to 12 weeks. Warmoth was upfront on the lead time when I ordered the body. 6-8 weeks was the time mentioned and it will be about 8 weeks...provided UPS doesn't lose it.
As others have mentioned, if you don't want something special. Just order it off the Showcase.
My warmoth neck was an unfinished showcase item (no frets installed and drilled for Klusen tuners). I had them ream the tuning maching holes for Grover, install frets, and shoot a clear gloss poly, and I think the turn-around time was 5 weeks.
The body could not be ordered through the showcase. I want to say I got the body approximatly 4 weeks after ordering since I am finishing it myself. The pieces were not ordered at the same time for monetary reasons and I wasn't in a huge rush so the turn-around time wasn't a big issue.
For in stock items that require no modification it's basically shipping time. My parts came about a week after placing the order. Not bad considering it was regular UPS ground from Washington to Ohio. Peruse the Showcase... there's a lot of stock in there. You may find what you're looking for and you'll save a bit of cash, too.
nope, showcase really isnt an option for me......
All my finished Warmoth parts took right about 6 weeks, which is the average estimate they give you anyway. Expect 6 weeks.
I ordered a lefthanded hollow strat body at warmoth , unfinished , they told me it would take 4 weeks , after 8 weeks I didn´t received anything so I mailed them
They told me something went wrong with their computer program .
The body was finished it just needed to be sanded .
The next day I got a mail that it was ready , they shipped it ups urgent , I didn´t had to pay extra , it was in Belgium in 48 hours
