Well, I finally got around to putting a clip up. This one was done on my Peavey Predator. The rhythm track was with the Cool Rails in the neck. The lead track was with the Custom Custom in the bridge split run with the Hot Rails in the middle. The guitar was played through my VAMP set on American Blues with a touch of gain (a little more for the lead) and just a bit of delay. The VAMP was plugged directly into the computer (Sorry, I don't have a mic). I just laid down an incredibly simple rhythm track and ad-libbed the lead, so it's not the greatest clip in the world. I need to stay off this forum a little more and do more practicing.
So anyway, tell me what you think - about the tone, recording, etc., not the playing. I know the playing sucks.

Ahhhhhh i liked it, very strat like sound.
Thanks JP.
sounds good bro
Like the sound of that HR. I actually have a Predator with a DD in the bridge, considering throwing a CR in the middle for rhythm. Any chance of hearing a track with the CR with some distortion used for rhythm (I know it'll sound different in the neck but I'm still kind of curious)?
Its amazing how much the CR rythm part sounded like an acoustic. Maybe its just your EQ, or the way it was recorded. Very cool.
I'd much rather hear quot;homegrownquot; stuff like this from forum bro's, than that crap they play on the radio. It sounds good.
The rhythm guitar is a little out of tune, but the lead notes are well chosen.
I think it needs a drum beat behind it; snare drum with a load of reverb on it, and a tiny bit of verb delay on the lead to really bring it to life
Nice job, bro.
sounds good man.
Thanks guys.
Shredder, welcome to the forum. It's nice to have another Arkansan around!
The quality it's pretty decent considering you are plugging the guitar directly to the computer. I agree with Artie, the guitar sounds surprinsingly acoustic!
Anyway, nice leads!!!
