All of you rectoverb owners might be able to identify with this... The multi-pin cable that connects my rectoverb's 3-button footswitch to the multi-pin jack on the back of the head doesn't attach itself very strongly to the footswitch. It's ALWAYS falling out and doesn't seem to want to stick in there, yannow?
Luckily there's 1/4 inch cable inputs on the back of the amp for alternative footswitch options. One for clean/OD, one for reverb on/off, and one for solo boost on/off. I used these inputs when I had my G-Major to use the relay switching that was available.
I usually don't use the amp's reverb, so is there a regular two-button footswitch I could buy that would have two mono-style 1/4 connections coming off it? Just a latching-style dual footswitch is what i need I guess. I'd thought of using two BOSS FS5L's but I wanna keep it just down to one dual-button stomper and one cable that splits at the end.
Anyone got any suggestions?
2 options that i can think of:
1) build one
2) get a marshall footswitch and build a Y adapter for it.
probably the only ways to get around this.
Weird, I've never had a problem with the cable falling out, it stays in very firmly on mine. I also don't have any alternative footswitch jacks on the back of mine (Series I head), just the regular multi-pin, then jacks for speaker outs and the effects loop. Good luck man.

I don't know how to build one but I DO know where I can get a Marshall one with LEDs and a Y-cable.
Anyone else? I think Carvin has one that might work, too.
Hey, B2D. I'm with FretFire in that I have no problem with the connecter being lose. I haven't checked mine to see, but is is possible to spread the pins or something else on the pin to make it fit more tightly? Maybe put a piece of heavy duty tape over it to hold it in place?

My best friend has the Solo 50 (same amp but no reverb) and she has the same problem with hers. If we so much as breathe on the joint the thing will fall out.
I'd like to avoid making a sticky mess with tape if at all possible.

I hear ya, but form follows function, right? It's better than knocking yourself out trying to find something else.

Nobels used to make one with stereo output (most are) so, you'll have to use a stereo to dual mono cable ... It's pretty much identical to the BOSS FS series ... Twin Latching with leds ... Midco (a jobber) used to carry it ... their number for it was NFS2L ... around $35 or less ... also you might want to look into Sili-Spares and Bespeco as *off brands*. Your local music store can order it for you, just ask them to look thru Midco, Harris-Teller,Mamp;A, or Davitt amp; Hanser ... They'll know who you are talking about ... Either that, or like the guy said, make one ... the Nobels with cable(s) will run you Less than the BOSS would just for the pedal ... well made also.

I'll see if I can't find the Nobels one on ebay first... thanks a bunch!
Well well well... I just opened up the footswitch and it turns out the input jack wasn't mounted right. I fixed it and now the cable fits in there all snug and tight.
