what am i doing if i wire up a 4 conducter with the black and bare wires together, soldered on the volume pot, and the white wire on the side of the pot with another wire going to the switch and the red and green together, i did this and it works fine, but the pup sounds a little weak, have i wired only one coil or something? lol thanks
Red and green are the wires of the adjustable coil. If they're together, they're shorted . . . or bypassed. You're only running the stud coil.
so the pickup is not wired to its full humbucking ability?
Exactly. You have eternal quot;splitquot;.
Easily fixable. You want green and bare together to ground. Red and white together and taped off. Black to the switch.
oh right, thanks, thats cleared a few things up
