Ok i have a 1993 fender jazz bass and unless i have the tone knob zeroed it makes a hoirrible buzzing sound that gets worse as i turn it up. Any idea what could be wrong?
ps Iv never looked inside or opened it up so i dont know what kind of shape its in.
Does the buzzing go away when you touch the strings or any other metal on the bass?
Each of the two pickups are single coils, when they're both on they're hum-cancelling.
I'd imagine you have a bad ground, or you're just getting hum from one coil of your pickups.
