I'm suprised that pickup is in that good of shape. Peso's and being that close to the strings and all.

How the hell does he play over that thing with it being that close to the strings? I would be making all kinds of noise by accidentally pressing the strings down onto the cover of the p'up.

Especially since he plays on 8s

AJ's right...The Rev is using a set of strings guaged 8-10-12-20-30-40 these days so with a set of 45 year old pickups they need to be pretty damn close!

Whoa Nelly! It looks like it's touching the back of the pup cover. Awful damn close, but then again, Mr. Gibbons knows a thing or two about guitars

I'm a fan of strings touching Humbucker covers myself-- it adds musical clicks and churps.

On my LP, I, too, keep the bridge pickup quite high, but not this high. Will give it a try tho.
