i love the sound of my '59/pg set, but there's no harmonics whatsoever, what's the deal with that?
any other way i can get that 'paf mixed with blues' sound but keep harmonics? maybe a lover bridge amp; phat cat neck?
Something does not seem right here. I installed a PG into the bridge of a mahogony strat I built for a client and it had good harmonics. Just about as much as a DMZ Fred.
I think it must be something with the guitar, rather than the pickup. What pots are being used? What's the string to pole distance with the string fretted?
stock 500k, and i'm looking at it amp; guessing about a third of an inch
Hmm... puzzling? Do you have another bucker you can try just get a different reffrence point. What kind of wood and hardware are involved?
Something's wrong with either your guitar, your amp settings, or your technique.
I've never had problems getting good harmonics from mine.

I thought the PG bridge had lame harmonics also!
I've got a 59/PG combo in my Strat, The PG is lacking in high end compared to the 59. I have a set of 59's in my Tele and have no problems. Maybe you need to change the PG?
it's a PG neck
the 59 bridge has great harmonics, but as soon as i flip into the mid position they're all gone
i can't raise it up anymore cuz it'll mud up the tone
it's a set neck asian basswood tele with 11-52 dean markley strings
i know it's not the settings or technique because i can do pinch harmonics easy with only the 59 or with my other tele that has the hot rail
i wouldn't mind scrapping the PG if i could still get that 'paf with bluesy mids' in the middle position

Ohhhh ... it's the PG neck! Well that explains it - I can NEVER get decent harmonics from ANY neck pup on ANY guitar. I don't think it's the PG's fault, mang.
Mr. Gibbons doesn't seem to have a problem, bridge or neck.
IT IS NOT THE PICKUP...I have a pg set and harmoinics simply fall off the strings...neck or bridge. Pull the pup closer to the strings and work on your technique.
