I was just looking on a website someone linked me to and it reminded me about a couple of very cool (IMO) Ibanez guitars that had very short production runs: the Maxxas and the Artfield. Anyone ever see one of these in person, play one, or maybe own one? I think the body styles are pretty unique, especially since they came out in the late 80s.

Yeah, I have an Ibanez AW 80 CE NT Acustic, they only made them for about 6 months or so i think back in 2000/2001

Vintage Guitar had an article on the Maxxass within the past year or so. They've also looked at the (if memory serves) Starfield guitars produced by Ibanez under a cover name. Check the online archives for more info.

Similar yes, but I think one of the models was actually semi-hollow (no F-holes, just had chambered wings).
