I'm after a REALLY cheap guitar with a floating tremolo. I don't care about quality, so long as it doesn't fall apart as soon as I touch it.
Any suggestions?
check out the SX strats at rondomusic.com or the Kramer focus series strats at MusicYo.com. I've had good experience with both of them.
yeah, it doesn't get much cheaper than these
from : localhost/sure about quality though on the real cheap one...or if that flotaing trem will stay in tune lol.

OLP's are Musicman copies, and now come with Floyds. I think it's the best bang for buck guitar that fits your description.
I bought my Washburn wg-580 with quot;floyd rosequot; for like 280 $ and its wonderful both looks and play...
Thanks for your suggestions, I'll look into them.
Oh, I forgot to mention, I do want reasonable tuning stability, but nothing special, as this guitar is just for the odd solo or to make some noises with.
I was looking for something along the lines of the ESP Ltd MH-50, but cheaper. Any more ideas?
I find it hilarious that people assume the a guitar with a FLoyd copy for 150$ will work fine...especially considering that the whole guitar is cheaper than a real Floyd...
Peavey Predator Plus EXP. Great trem, i can make the strings slack and do some crazy Steve Vai tricks and i only have to fine tune it every few days. $229 at the local store, but you can get it for $219 online.
The LTD MH 50 isnt a floating trem I dont think.. Its a fulcrum style.
I hear the Peaveys are great bang for the buck. Im eyeing a used Jackson PS1 on ebay thats in the $150 range.. Im sure the trem on it is decent.. If you are considering used, somethink like that is a good package.

I think that´s about as good as it gets in that range actually, if you can find a MIJ Performer ant not one from India
How about one of these Music-Yo quot;Kramerquot;s for only $79?

go ebay... get a charvel
So far I'm considering the Kramer Striker, Jackson Performer, the Ltd MH-50 or a low-end Ibanez RG.
Are these good choices?
why do people ignore me?

I didn't ignore you, I just couldn't find a Charvel that I liked
??? You´re considering a Performer, but couldn´t find liking in a Model 3,or 4, 5 or 6, or 275, 325, 475, 550, 650 or 750? Or even better a Model A??
You´re strange, I´m scared of you
lol, well looked on their website and found nothing but guitars with wacky graphics and one pickup...

check the guitar in my sig .. i wont tell you how much i paid for it, but it's less than a new performer. best player in the vicinity of a hundred miles that i tell you.
they dont have anything on the website ATM that would be of any interest to a working player that wants a reasonably priced guitar.
like i said, check ebay for old 80's and early 90's charvels. you get a thousand times more than what you pay for

No, it´s more than a new performer, because there is no such thing, the performer series has been defunct for almost a decade

I consider 1.5k for a handmade USA Charvel to be more than reasonable (again, anybody that´s paying more than List -30% is shopping in the wrong stores).. ANd if you look at the website again, and maybe the pricelist or the stock of sonme deakers, you´ll see that the quot;graphics and Singlehimsquot; statement souldn´t be farther from the truth
For prices and a selection:

Yes, all of the models I listed are quot;long gonequot; as new guitars, the Used market os always your best bet for a decent guitar @ a better price anyway
