Hey all,

I was wondering if I should get the new 2005 Ibanez SZ320 or the Agile AL-3000 Prestige?

If anyone has either of these guitars please reply. I need your help!

I think the Agile is better bang for the buck, but the SZ does have a wonderful neck though

i have the sz320. i have never played an agile so all i can tell you is about the ibanez i do own. wonderful neck, not too chunky but not thin either. very solidly built with no fit or finish problems. mahogany body with maple cap. stock tuners work fine, guitar has tons of sustain. i tried out several guitars in that price range including deans, washburns, mexi strats, esp LTD's, epis, other ibanez, etc.... the sz320 felt better than all of them (in MY hands at least) in stock trim, but i didn't care much for the stock pick ups. i found a slightly used one on another site that i ended up buying from a member there. he had replaced the stock pups with dimarzios and i couldn't be happier with what i've got for a guitar in that price range. the sz has a great feel and playability to it, but i would swap the pups if and when you can.

Btw....what is the neck material on the SZ320 and is it one piece?

3 piece mahogany set in (not bolt on) neck, rosewood fretboard.
i should also clarify that the new 05 model has different stock pups than before, duncan ibanez pickups. i haven't played one with those. maybe they are an improvement over last years' pickups?

About necks...

What is the best?

1 piece neck?
2 piece neck?
3 piece neck?
What are the differences?

I know for a fact that I want the guitar I get to be all mahogany with a maple top(if it comes with one) and I want the neck to be mahogany with either rosewood fretboard or ebony. I like both!
