I saw 4 bands this weekend..... ZZTop was one that i saw Friday at a Casino in Ontario Canada.... and the other 3 were Canadian acts on the Saturday called Goddo, Kim Mitchell and David Wilcox ...all 3 Canadian acts playing the same stage at a big bar.... The guy in the Goddo band used a Line 6 amp and had hands down the best sound of all 4 bands this weekend. The other guys had bigger more expensive gear and the guy with the LINE 6 amp sounded really really really Great!!!! Which is odd for me to say as i do not like the Line 6 stuff too much.... but i think i had better look more into it. I have no idea what model of amp this guy had but it was a small line 6 amp maybe a single 1x12.
What are the best newer Line 6 amps out there? I have a POD so i already have the 2.2 set up but i may want a small combo...

I had the 2.0. Now I have the xt Live. It was worth the upgrade.
One of my friends has a Flextone III 112. There are a lot of things it claims to do that it just plain doesn't (hi gain models, good LOUD cleans are lacking too), but there are some things that are pretty amaizing. The Marshall Silver Jubilee model through the Marshall 412 cab sounds pretty amaizing. Some of the other low gain models are pretty sweet too. I wish they'd put the Silver Jubilee model in the POD.
I wanted to go to that Rama show so bad. I also missed ZZ in London Ontario this summer. I suck.
What was the color or look of the amp...

I *KNOW* I'm getting old when a Jubilee is considered quot;low gainquot;
:Sigh:
I've got the XT Live and she's darn impressive. Of course not as sweet as my Rivera, but for the price, quite good. The 800, JTM45 and HiWatt are my faves
one of the coolest things is being able to mix the quot;unmixablequot; in the real world...
e.g. tonite I ran the tweed champ into a 4x12 w/ 25 watt greenies..VERY cool
and one of my best tweaks is my new quot;bassman stackquot; preset...cranked bassman run through the greenie 25 4x12...WHOA....sounds MUCH better than the Plexi models...
one of these days I'll figger out how to record with it
A lot of people don't give these modelers a chance. They do require A LOT of tweaking. When I first got my Vamp2 I though what a POS. Then I started changing the Terrible factory presets and got the midi and software working. I can get 5 excellent sounds out of the Vamp2.

I went to the Line 6 web site and the amp i saw on stage must of been a Flextone III...... The guitarist used only one main sound and had a slightly louder one for solos... but that one sound sounded amazing! He did add some Flanger type effects once in a while.
