Well the SD Jazz and SD JB that I ordered for my sister's (I gave it to her a little wihle back) Epiphone Spotlight CMT just came in today, as did the sperzel locking tuners for her strat and the two sets of graphtech string saver saddles, and the pro co rat 2 I bought her....well low and behold when I look in the box...they sent me one set of graphtech string saver saddles and a set of the more expensive graphtech saddles...NOT COMPLAINING HERE! so I put the more expensive saddles on the epiphone and put the Jazz/JB combo in there....holy crap those things SCREAM!! GREAT sounding pickups and earned every acclamation that they have ever been given...the Pro Co Rat 2 is PERFECT for my sister's style, and there are no complaints there....as soon as the SD SSL-1's I bought from four banger get here, I'm putting those in her strat in the neck and middle position to go with the cool rails she's got in the bridge and I'm putting on the string saver saddles and the locking tuners...should be GREAT. I love new stuff, even if it's not mine...but...my new bass gets here tomorrow!! Pics to follow soon!
Just a bump.....anxiously awaiting the newest arrival of the guitar family....should be here anytime this afternoon....I hate the waiting for something to get here! stupid fedex, come on!
I love getting new stuff. Thanks for the update. I'm going to have to give the JB a try again in a different guitar....I couldn't get on with it in my Dean Hardtail.
isn't there a museum in Clarksdale?
yeah, Delta Blues Museum.....cool place, it's where my sister (lead singer of our band July 23rd (also lead guitar and songwriter) learned to play guitar...they have an arts and education program that she learned in...but it's declined greatly, not as many students as before
thanks ... I'd like to visit Miss again someday ... lots of relatives down there
AND IT'S HERE!! I got a couple of pics of the upgrades on the epi and one shot of the bass, dont' have time to take more, getting ready for a jam tonight, gonna give it a good play through tonight to get used to it. (I apologize for picture size)First a shot of the epi:a close up of the epi and the ferraglide saddles and seymour duncan pickups (JB/Jazz like I said)
And finally, the bass! I'll get better quality pictures, but for now this will have to suffice
SWEEET! On all fronts . Enjoy your new rumble-machine bro.
